House & Contents insurance

$ years ago my wife was called into our local branch of Lloyds TSB bank for a quick review on finances. She was asked about home insurance to which we were three quarters way through the current term. We were then with Prudential but the bank sales person persuaded my wife to change to TSB. Being a softy she agreed but we then got a bill from prudential for changing in the middle of the policy.
We know we were paying far too much for home and contents insurance but kept with TSB. We have recently got a reminder that our next years cover will be £726.48 or £60.62 per month. The price states it includes insurance and tax charged at the current rate. I don't understand this. Is it reclaimable?. We have shopped around and got a quote £150 per year for the same type of policy.

Do you mean is the tax reclaim able? No. You are shopping around, that's the best idea.0

No nothing is reclaimable, you have paid too much for five years by your own admission because you couldn't be bothered to change.
Why would TSB refund you?No free lunch, and no free laptop
