I think dark purple would go really well with gold. Makes sense to go with a colour your fiance likes as well.

Ohhh we are having Sage with champagne and cream
Sounds like dinner rather then wedding colours but they are gorgeous together!

What about pale blue, not baby blue more bluey/grey, that would look great.
