Women are meant to notice the cold more than men. It's due to their hormone levels. If you consider traditional roles, men going out hunting for food while women stay at home in the relative warmth.0

I am cold at 18-20 ! 21 is perfect for me.
At 16 is like outside and I wouldn't feel comfortable in the house with a jacket and shoes like outside. That's why we live in houses and not outside.0 -
We aim for 20 degrees but often turn it down when the house has warmed up as it's well insulated and seems to retain the heat.
It's definitely colder if you aren't able to move around much. I'd suggest you wrap up really warm (thermals, socks, a few layers) and then see how it goes. I get very cross when DH blasts up the heating when he's sitting in a t shirt!
If it's a new system then you should have individual thermostats on radiators. You shouldn't need 20 in any rarely used rooms or bedrooms. We have our bedroom thermostat really low and I use a (much cheaper) electric blanket to keep warm.0 -
I know everyone is different but anything below 26 is far too cold for me.
I don't like going in other people's homes because I usually freeze.travelover0 -

I am hypothyroid and really feel the cold. 20 degrees is too chilly for me. about 23 is comfortable.
It can be a problem when visiting friends who do not seem to feel the cold as I do. I usually compensate by making sure to wear plenty of layers!
I loved the hot weather last summer and live for my holidays when my feet stay warm all the time. Bliss.0 -
I like it around 19 ideally but have turned my thermostat down to 18 this winter in an attempt to save money. We are also only allowed the heating on from 5pm-8pm regardless of the temperature unless it is 15. Lots of layers and my electric throw help."'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life

Who 'only allows' you the heating on at that time? Are those your own rules?0
