Ferroli boiler stop starting

I have an old Ferroili boiler that has just started to stop start every couple of minutes, when on Central heating, seems ok at first, but then after about 20 minutes keeps turning itself off, then on again, etc
I have been ripped off before so any advice would be welcome so I know what's going on when I call heating engineer in

Crap in the system or a failing pump, would be the first things I'd look at if its only just started doing it, or the heating load has been set too high but that shouldn't of suddenly only just happenedI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
