Please can anyone suggest a plant, bush or shrub, which will grow quite fast, both in width and height to cover the front wall of my south east facing house (Scotland).
On another wall I already have a cotoneaster but would like something a bit more colourful.
Being a novice gardener when would be the best time to plant i.e. at the start of Spring or do I need to wait until frosts are definitely over.

Some clematis? The viticellas like 'Betty Corning' do well in Scotland.
