Is it my age??

I'm very fussy about what I enter, mostly due to time constraints. I don't have much time to devote to comping so I only enter for prizes I'd really like or know that my husband or sons would want. This means I perhaps only enter about 10% of comps posted but as explained above, it means I never really get any "unwanted" wins.

I don't think it's an age thing! I'm 22 and pretty selective about what I enter

Sometimes think that as there is a lot of absolute crap to win. More disheartening when there are umpteen of the same prize, nights away that nowhere near or constant streams of makeup/shopping vouchers.

It's partly age. All I've entered recently are for tickets to Crufts and the Sewing Show at the NEC. I love a day out.Time to give up on Crufts . Just seen people thanking a sponsor for tickets on Twitter and I had all my fingers and toes crossed for my entry


Also on my wish list is a mixer. I'm wary of entering slogan/recipe comps these days though unless near the closing date and I've checked all the other entries - someone entered a recipe comp in Jan after me but we quickly cancelled each other out as we'd had the same idea. Frustrating after spending hours on it.


EDIT - It wasn't time to give up - I've just won tickets to Crufts - Yay!!


Also on the subject of age - I hate the requests for our birthdates on forms so avoid those comps too.

I'm similar in that I only enter things I want to win or that the family will want.. Have only been comping 2 months now and not won anything at all despite entering comps every day.
I have given up click to wins now on advice of others here (and having noted that the closing dates seem to change??)
Don't do FB comps, do some twitter ones but guess that as I'm using a separate twitter acc for comping that this may be why I haven't won.

I do enjoy comping and the thrill of coming home from work to find a present some day in the future, but I am searching hard for prizes I want to win too.. I'm mid forties with kids in late teens and pets so do find a few things.
