Hi everyone I am wondering where good places to stock up are. I want to have my staples in this month in readiness to join the GC and finally get my spending under control after having to pay off £1000 of debt this month. I am looking for cheap places to buy Red lentils, portage oats, Rice, Pasta, Dried fruit mix, and nuts and seeds and ideally I would like to buy in bulk for as cheap as I can. Does anyone have any ideas please?

Most of those are available in Aldi. That's where I'd start. Not sure about the fruit nuts and seeds, that may be seasonal with them.0 -
I would usually recommend Approved foods for dried stuff like this that doesnt really have a "best before" date- but they dont seem to have any decent stuff in stock at the moment.
I have bulk bought pasta , rice , couscous , lentils , beans , mixed pulses etc from them in the past.0 -
Look at sainsburys basic range -good quality and a benchmark price
Costco for nuts? Or ethnic Moroccan shops0 -
Hi
Although I generally try to avoid Tescos I do find them good for big bags of lentils & rice but look at the ethnic aisle as alot cheaper than the normal aisle. However if you're close to any indian or other ethnic shops it may well be worth having a look there.

There must be an awful lot of lucky people on here. Not once have I been able to checkout at ApprovedFoods with all the bargains they've highlighted, always sold-out. No longer on my even bother to look list.0

I've bought loads of stuff from approved foods, they do change their products on an almost daily basis but always managed to get an order together that I can use.0

I'd agree with Aldi for basics. I get my lentils there, 500g for 95p
Home bargains and B&M can be good too.0 -

I know it doesnt help if it isnt in stock - but last time I bought lentils from approved food it was 1.5Kg for £1. You just have to be persistent and check their website regularly for what they currently have in stock.0
