Techfever.co.uk - charged card but now have ceased trading!

Options
Ordered a LCD Tv from techfever.co.uk - choosing both the model and retailer on the strength of reviews and feedback on the internet (inc MSE).

I ordered it Sunday, they charged my card Monday, hadn't arrived all week and have been checking website tracking to find it had been picked awaiting delivery. Have checked website again today to find they have ceased trading as of today!!!

Have had some email contact with them today and they have committed to deliver the order still, but I'm a little wary still to say the least.

Any advice?

I do hope you paid by credit card, in which case if all else fails you card company will refund your payment. If you paid by debit card, however, you do not have that protection ...
  • It was a credit card thankfully!

Please allow me to correct you .

If your Debit Card has the Visa logo on it you have the same protection as a credit Card .

  • Thanks for the help guys. Spoke to credit card company - they recommended I speak with the merchant to give them a chance to still deliver the goods, if they fail to they'll seek a refund from the merchant. Techfever have responded to my email and said it'll be here by Tuesday - so we'll wait and see if it turns up.....
  • True to their word it was delivered this morning even though they have ceased trading. I take it all back!
