No sky remote code for new TV?

I am on Freesat from Sky (we have no aerial signal or cable here so it has to be satellite). My TV is bust and not having much cash, am considering a Currys Logik TV which actually had decent reviews.
The problem is I can't find a code for the model using even the latest Sky remote. Looking at various forums this seems to be a common problem with budget TVs - and sometimes more expensive ones.
Does this render the TV unusable or can I still access the Sky programmes and functions albeit having to use both the TV and the Sky remote?

just use both remotes...generally the tv will keep to the satellite source (hdmi or scart??) so will only need the tv remote for power on & volume correction.0

pineapple - whatever money you have assigned to that Logik TV, take it, and spend it on a 2nd hand one on Gumtree or eBay (locally would be handy to see it working). You'll get a better TV, and it'll be more likely to have a code that works.0

As above , avoid the logik tv and look at richer sounds for a tv , you can add a 5 year warranty and get a branded tv for the same price , assume you mean the 32 inch logik ?Ex forum ambassador

No it was a small 24" one. It's only a small room and I hate TVs to dominate the space. Anyhow I'll probably pass on the Logik and go for a Samson 28" 4000 series. As above , avoid the logik tv and look at richer sounds for a tv , you can add a 5 year warranty and get a branded tv for the same price , assume you mean the 32 inch logik ?

But I don't know whether to get it below RRP at various outlets or go with the local dealer who charges full whack but includes delivery and installation.0 -
Don't buy a badge job brand from DSG, it'll last about 18 months. Use RS, either in branch or order online, and get a decent budget brand such as LG or Samsung. No free lunch, and no free laptop

what's the issue with using two remotes? You'll find you can't control other aspects of the tv if using a sky remote anyway

Seems to me that people these days can't walk the six feet to the telly to push a button, but prefer to drive to poundland to get some new batteries for their remotes:D :cool:what's the issue with using two remotes? You'll find you can't control other aspects of the tv if using a sky remote anyway

Except that some TVs don't even have buttons you can press these days - except those on the remote.
