You could add in holiday fund of £30-£40 a month, what about broadband and line rental?

IPA after? After 12 months? Can they still take money from you? :'(
If you have a surplus over £20 per month after paying for your agreed necessary expenses then you could get tied into an IPA that will last for 3 years.

Keep below the threshold for a surplus and they cannot take anything off you after your discharge - no matter how much you earn.
  • Council tax is over 7 months because I didn't move in with her til a few months ago &she was claiming some sort of benefit so didn't have to pay it until I moved in.

1 phone is mine the other girlfriends but they're both in my name.

    1600-1700 is just my income/month.

her income goes on her debts :-/

    What's your thoughts?
  • No broadband but we do need it just haven't been able to afford it, hopefully will be able to now I'm BR :-/

council tax 142 is this high because of arrears?
    Gas 65
    electric 65
water 65 is this because of arrears or water rates if the latter you will be better with a meter
    fuel on car 220
food 538 I think this is high I went for £450 and they tried to reduce it to £400
    car insurance 30
    car maintenance 50 £600 a year for service/MOT
    car tax 12
    clothing 50 £90
mobile phones (2 on contracts) 120 would be better putting the contract as a debt and getting a PAYG sim
    Hair cuts 25
    cat & dog food 25
Emergencies 40 £30 as it is £10 per person
    holiday £40
Any parking, presciptions, contents insurance or dry cleaning costs? You will also have to declare the child tax credits and Child benefit that comes into the house not just income that you earn.

  • Just seen your last post, i doubt very much you will be allowed to be allowed the expenses of both mobiles as at £60 each not particularly reasonable expense.

  • Ok thank you. This is what i put down on my Bankruptcy for, can I change it when I speak to OR or not? :-/
  • If this is what you are paying it is what you are paying. Nobody expects you to live like a pauper, and if he dont allow something you can adapt and overcome, for instance you can have your phone contracts put into your bankruptcy and have PAYG sims which would lower the amount you spend. I was allowed £100 for mine and sons mobile contract, broadband, landline and sky. Even though it came to more.

He may think that £538 is a reasonable amount for groceries for 2 adults and a child. There is no exact science and I can only share my experiance with you. I myself live on my own and two children (13yr old lad eats like an adult) and they tried to bring my groceries down to £400 a month I did contest this as my youngest (8yrs) is a bed wetter and I launder bedding more often than the average person and she is also wearing pull ups on a night.

My water I contested as I had put down £40 and they wanted to reduce it to £35 again down to my daughter this justified the higher amount.

What you have to bear in mind is that an IPA is and agreement you will get a letter after your OR interview and that will state how much if anything they want you to pay for 36 months that is 36 payments not 36 months from whenever. If you dont agree ask them to inform you with where they got the figures from they sent me a spreadsheet showing where they had cut my figures back.

I had help from this board and in particular Debt Doctor and had my IPA reduced by half thanks to him.

Good Luck and it will all come out in the wash so to speak
