As the title says. I had both cats neutered and chipped two weeks ago. They went back for a check up on day 3 and the vet noticed a lump around the microchip site on Squeak. She said to take him back after a month, however it is now the size of a marble, appears to be none tender and Im worried. I have google it and apparntly microchips have been linked to sarcomas? Any one had this following chipping with their cat?
thanks

Its a lump not kump lol, difficult to type with a cat on your knee

  • Take him back to the vet asap and get it checked out. I've not had this myself with any of mine, but I would take my cat in this situation.

could be scar tissue - my sis has a horrible appendectomy scar even though the surgeon did a lovely job. apparently her body reacted by scarring badly. but, it does need to be established that this is a 'normal' reaction.
