Trying to sort out the mess of a wiring job done in the office at our new house, any ideas what this is? Can't see any markings on it at all.

Is it a doorbell/buzzer/sounder kind of thing? Looks like it involves some chunky volts in and from that snap maybe an electromagnet/coil of some sort?0

It's just a buzzer that's all nothing special and not mains voltage !
