Do I have a valid mis selling reason

Hi all, I am new to all this so apologies if this is an old question.

I am currently looking to try to claim back the PPI on two Egg loans and possibly an Egg credit card from 2005.

I have looked at the reasons for mis selling PPI and the more clear cut ones are not applicable to me as I have no pre existing medical condition and I am full time employed.

I do rememner the PPI being pushed quite hard with an indication that the application would be successful if I took PPI however this would be my word against theres as there would be no evidence.

Is this enough to claim on or would I need something more solid.

I was also wondering if anyone knows how long the PPi would pay for should I of ever made a claim as I would receive six months full pay and six months half pay from my employer so I am wondering if the PPI was over and above this time frame. Unfortunately have no paper work for the PPI and it was not explained at the time.

Any advice is appreciated

A weak hearsay complaint, but plenty of others have used this as their complaint-you'd be reliant on the Bank finding other errors with the sale or getting a lucky auto-payout.

This is a useful addition to your complaint, but won't in itself guarantee any payout. PPI covered redundancy and you wouldn't receive such an amount if you were to lose your job.

Your main problem is a lack of paperwork, you'll have to send Egg a SAR letter (cost =£10) to see if there are any records left.

Egg were fined fo selling loans betwen certain periods google it and see if your fall in the timeline.
Also, you could have a complaint for single premium, or for single premium on a consolidated chain of loans.

I would suggest you need something a lot more solid. What you have said is very vague and its the line everyone uses. Unless you can be more specific, i.e who did you speak to what specifically did they say, I think you will be lucky.

As regards the payout then I suggest you call them up and ask. Most PPI would pay out on top of sick pay but if not then might be a valid point.
