Purchase protection plus

Got a thread going over on the debt free board, been advised to post here as we'll.
Ma in law has an Ambrose Wilson account, with 'purchase protection plus' being added on a monthly basis.
Got a letter here stating it will be automatically added on to her account, states that she can cancel within first 84 days free of charge, gives her options to opt out rather than in.
Do you think we'd be able to claim for mis selling on this?
She's struggling with the repayments now, so if she can reclaim, it will make a massive difference.
I'm going to cancel it now anyway, so stopping any further charges, but if any one can advise on making a claim it will be appreciated.
Thanks

Doesn't sound "mis-sold" to me, but you could certainly complain about it being added "automatically". Be certain it wasn't added at your Mother's behest on an eight week "trial" and THEN automatically added.wowimustlovehim wrote: »
