Merlin Annual Pass Drink Capsules

Merlin have made some "improvements" to the annual pass drink capsules by reducing the capsule price and adding a charge PER refill. The capsule is going to be smaller as well.

Net result = a lot of VERY unhappy Merlin Annual Pass Holders:

I personally have a voucher for an unlimited refill cup with unlimited refills (from Tesco), It will be interesting what response I get when I try to redeem it.

Agreed; we weren't going to get capsules anyway but I know that a lot of people do and they may not have heard.

This time last year you could get a free hot drink in the afternoon by showing your annual pass. That was a decent offer. Only cost them pennies, but at least we were getting some additional benefit. They soon scrapped that.

Merlin just want to bleed every last penny out of the customer. Pay more and get less every year. I suspect it won't be long before they go the way of Blackpool and try to stop you bringing your own food in.

I went to Alton Towers yesterday. They have introduced a capsule for £5 then you can refill it as many times as you like that day only (The date is written on in permanent marker). They are not starting the £1.99 capsule for pass holders with 75p refills until 20 March when they open properly.
