Cost Over Customer Services

I am just curious to know how much you value saving money over customer service?,. Would you transfer to a supplier purely because they save you money even though you have been more than happy with your existing supplier?

Curious to hear what you think

Cheers
Adam

The saving has to be worthwhile £50+ a year to want to initiate a change and it's difficult to assess how bad service is. Someone's "nightmare" is someone else's irritation and I'd guess that most people don't have a problem anyway. You only see the complaint's, very seldom any praise

It depends how bad customer service is. I find it really hard to understand why or how some firms are just incapable of sending out accurate bills on time - it shouldn't be all that difficult in this day & age.
However, that said, there are a lot of people out there who just don't help themselves. They don't check bills, check their bank accounts and don't read their meters. I'd guess that a lot of the criticism of customer service comes from them when the big one comes and they then want to argue.

That's not to say that there aren't problems either - it's just taken me 10 weeks to get my credit back from Scottish Power after 5 seriously snotty e-mails from me to try and motivate them to get on with it.

In the end you pays your money and takes your choice, but hopefully if you keep an eye on what's happening you should avoid any serious problems or conflicts
Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers

If the billing is properly carried out, then there should never be a need to call CS. Meter reads can be done online or via an automated phone system.

i recently changed from B Gas (elec) and S Power Gas to Ovo Energy.

I never had Gas until recently. I rent and the council had meter put in October. I got an estimate before the boiler and contacted S Power. Took near an hour to get through. twice i called them and it was the same twice. so i shopped about, and switched.

I wouldnt stand in a shop queue for an hour, so i wont be waiting an hour on the phone.

    btw switch went smoothly.
Promo codes are never always cheaper..... isnt that right EuropCar?
