There is more to life than winning at Popla

And I am not talking about overpriced weekends at Centre Parcs

I am talking about people being ticketed in their own parking bays, sometimes when that bay forms part of their demised property, but usually when a Managing Agent has signed a commission based agreement with a PPC.

I own a flat in a block "managed" by UKPC, most of the tenants are HA tenants, and, I suspect, many in receipt of housing benefit. I am trying to get the HA to sack the company, they are a registered charity and should not, I feel, be sharing a bed with a PPC.

I feel that everyone who comes here for advice when they fall foul of an ex-clamper in their own bay should be encouraged to do more than just contest a PCN at Popla. They should be urged to complain the the Landlord/Landowner, Management Company. Residents Association, flyposting residents' cars, putting forum information on notice boards, etc., and encouraged to investigate whether a breach of the Landlord and Tenant Act. has occurred.

Perhaps, if they are up for it, blank the PPC, ignore POPLA, and see if they have the cojones to take them to court. It could be quite profitable.
