Digistat +3 back plate ?

Morning

We have a digistat thermostat thingy that came with the boiler already installed when we moved in , there is no back plate anywhere , and i want to be able to mount it in the hallway , where i think they should be ?

Anyone any ideas , i can obviously find the whole unit but cant find the plater on its own...

Cheers

There isn't a backplate, it just screws to the wall and the wires are fed in from behind. It pops apart in two halves if you poke a small screwdriver or something in the two small slots on the bottom so you can fasten the back part to the wall and then click the front part back on.

  • The sender unit for Digistat +3 just unclips at the bottom and the rear of the case has screw holes for mounting on the wall.

The receiver unit beside the boiler does have a backplate

NB It's better to mount the roomstat in the room you want to control the temp of, rather than the hall IMHO

It still has to be connected to the boiler by wires, the wireless part is the temperature sensor which you place in the room where you want it to reach the temperature you set.
Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit a wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it

    thanks

its the sensor unit i`m trying to wall mount , i had a system in an old house where you could slot the unit onto a wall plate as and when you wanted to ,and move to different rooms if required (liken the babys room etc) if i mount this using the unit itself , then its not going to serve that purpose , as the back , which would be then the wall plate , is the main back of the unit itself so without that , the unit itself has all its gubbins on show , and the batteries fall out

  • Err, yes. But you use the radiator TRVs to set the temp in other rooms...
  • I have the same one. On the back of the unit is a slot above a rectangular hole. Carefully remove the back cover & cut the slot longer to meet the rectangular hole. Put a screw into your wall at the correct height for your Digistat, you should then be able to slot the Digistat on & off the wall when needed.

Or you could thread some string through a slot & attach the string to a screw or hook in your wall.
