Casio watch - strap broken no replacement

I'm after a bit of advice. A couple of years ago I bought a casio watch with a 'built in' plastic strap. As I expected that strap has now broken. No problem you would think, just replace it. Unfortunately the fitting is not standard. However you would think Casio would be able to provide a replacement.
They can't. I have contacted them and they said they now longer make these straps and have no suggested replacement. They state they first STARTED making the watch in 2007 and now no longer support it.
I am now in possession of a watch that is useless because I can't get a strap for it. The watch was around £70 and I would have expected better support. I have contacted the retailer I bought it from and they have been in contact with Casio who told them the same thing.
Does anybody have any advice?

    what model of watch is it? Plenty of replacement straps around on eBay, Amazon etc for the GShock range...

    have a look on ebay and buy a broken watch but with the right strap and change it over to yours.

    Thanks for that advice, I've already tried that and for the past 2 weeks there have been none on sale. I guess all I can do is keep my eye open.

    What is the exact model of the watch?
    1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
    2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
    3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?

    Take it back to where you bought it with the receipt and ask them to repair, replace or (partial) refund.
    Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
    Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

    No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

    MY OH had a similar issue with a Citizen watch with a built in steel strap he damaged the clasp and got the sad news fro Citizen that it's no longer supported. Eventually he sent it to a watch repairer he found on line who managed to find a strap that was almost identical from another manufacturer's range and it is as good as new..

    After 2 years ? would they be expected to offer any of those on a wear and tear item
