The biggest drop in decay in this country was in the seventies with introduction of fluoride to toothpaste.
Tooth brushing prevents gum disease but doesn't do alot on its own to prevent decay, diet and fluoride have a bigger part to play.
Anyone should be brushing for two minutes ,twice a day, with a fluoride toothpaste and spit don't rinse. No mouthwash unless prescribed and no more than three sugar attacks a day.
Fluoride in toothpaste sticks on the teeth and has a long-lasting effect, but unless you are careful with diet you can brush 27 times a day and still get decay. So three sugar attacks a day and completely sugar free drinks and food in between meals.0 -

I have the exact same problem - mild and minty for me for years. Very concerned it seems to have vanished although I did find some in the pound shop a while back so hope I find some more- otherwise I will have to find an alternative0

I have the same problem with my 10 year old son. The only one he likes is the kids pro enamel as its mild tasting and not too foamy. He has ASD and sensory issues. I just buy lots when I see it on offer anywhere.0

oranurse toothpaste is completely unflavoured and has been developed for those with sensory/taste issues . It can be bought at boots or ordered on the internet0

Why not use Sainsburys Basics toothpaste? "Less Minty but raises a smile" it says on the tube.
It is only 25p for 75ml and is so much nicer than expensive branded over-minted toothpaste. Just a slight hint of mint.
It is by far the nicest toothpaste I've ever tried. It contains 0.298% Sodium Fluoride (1350ppm).0 -
