On Wed I sent and collected e-mails before heading of to work. On return I notice there was no internet access from me pc (left on stand-by while at work).
As the night went on I discover no devices in the house can get internet access however all can connect to the router.
Following day the same. Last night I entered the router manager page (Netgear) and went through the settings - this is where it gets weird, the username to login to the ISP had been changed by 1 letter. Correct this error and all back to normal.
My first thought was i've picked up and infection but not finding anything at the moment.
Any thoughts as i've never come across this one before.
Running housecall scan atm.

What wireless encryption do you have ?
If it is weak, someone could have hacked it and changed the letter, so make sure you use the highest encryption possible and a not easy to guess pass phrase.0 -

WPA-PSK + WPA2-PSK, mix of letters and numbers.
Going to change as a precaution.

Check that you don't have WAN admin enabled - especially so if you've left the admin login to defaults.
I suppose a single character error could have been a glitch with the memory but I've certainly never heard of this happening.0 -

Doesn't appear to have a WAN admin option however nothing within the WAN setup options are jumping out as problematic.
Admin login has not been left with default settings, indeed I have changed the password today.Don’t be a can’t, be a can.0
