Ingmar Bergman's masterpiece The Seventh Seal follows the story of a knight who must play chess with Death in order to live. We're giving away copies of the classic film plus this beautiful £300 wood chess set so you can practice in case you ever get into a similar situation.
We are giving away a Bud Rosewood chess set and board worth £299 courtesy of Chess & Bridge, plus The Seventh Seal posters:
This exquisite Boxwood and Bud Rosewood set features a 4" (115mm) King with a 1.75" (45mm) diameter base. The 32 chessmen weigh in at 1.75 Kg. Bud Rosewood has a distinctive red colour, the wood is resilient and the set comes complete with four queens. All the pieces have raised bevelled bases with the underside being finished in leather.
The box to store the chessmen in is made of solid sheesham brown wood, with brass hinges and embellishments
The board is made of American walnut and birdesye maple with each square measuring 55mm.
