Weekly Spend Challenge W/C 16th February 2014

So far (rough amounts until i can check purse and receipts.)

Sun - NSD :j
Mon - baba has a hospital appt, so parking £3 - parking £2.70. Also got crisps and drink when I got petrol. £1.45
Tues - NSD - popped to town to take some bits back for hubby, treated myself to some new clothes, desperately needed since having babba. Used xmas vouchers. Cooked for my sister last night and picked up some veggie pasties from H0lland & Barr3tt. 43p also cashed in some gold necklaces i never wear - £135. Well chuffed.
Weds - out for play date £20
Thurs - NSD
Fri - provisions for the weekend. (May take some money from savings for this)
Sat - unsure yet due to being away

Total - £4.58 / £25

I've been a frittering this week -

Sun - £6.16 (papers & some odds for Mum(
Mon - £1.47 (crisps & choccy)
Tues - £2.60 lunch
Wed - ?

Total - £40/£10.23

I'm out for lunch with some friends today but hopefully can bag an NSD tomorrow.

Reporting in for Tuesday. Had hoped for £50 but sadly the birthday treat to a national burger place then the pictures came to £61.20:eek: (£61.20

Was on track for £50.50 til DS2 piped up can we have slushys please and the 3 wee pals all said oh yeah! Couldn't then say no and seem like the meanest mum in town!:(

Should've had DS2 warned, I thought I was prepared with sweeties in my bag but hadn't banked on the slushy factor! Still they all had a fabby time.

Sooooo I just need to get through the rest of the week on less than £7.30:undecided.......

I need to go into town with kids in tow for DS1 &DD to buy some birthday gifts for DS2 without spending any money myself - a challenge methinks. Watch this space!

Back from town! Not quite a no spend scenario. Kids bought themselves stuff from various pound stores. I got onion sets, seed potatoes and tomato seeds and fertiliser. ( will take that from food budget). Also mr a shop £11.86 from food budget. Fuel from fuel budget. Did buy shower caps( great for putting over the bowl when bread is rising), wood glue and pegs spending £2.97. Will be going to local gym class tonight only £1.00:T

So total spend for today is£3.97:j

So need to stay home til Sunday to stay under my predicted budget, I can do that

Another no spend day us on the cards. I'm home cleaning and cooking for visiting parents. DS2 has birthday tomorrow but he's home from school poorly.( I'm not sure he's that poorly though!)

I received a letter from S@ntand3r the other day saying they were transferring my store card to another company. Quick check through purse, number didn't correspond with anything I had. Contacted them on a FB and got a call back 5 mins ago. Turns out it's from a Dotty P card I had cut up years ago. Tell the nice lady I want to close account(as I thought it already was), she tells me there is a balance on it. My heart starts to thump thinking someone has used/cloned card. Then she tells me she will send me a cheque for the balance of £5.38! Woohoo:j:j:j and major relief. Moral of the tale make sure unused cards are cancelled and claim your balance.:)
