Doing well, trying lots of new things in my new slow cooker, and I'm starting to plan using it on busy days to ease stress. I'm completely converted :)

Saturday - In-Laws, if we make it through the winds, and floods as they're surround by the themes :/
Sunday - HM Chicken Goujions, HM Chips, HM Tzaziki and Salsa with SC Rice Pudding for Dessert.
Monday - SC Red Thai Curry with Pork (New!)
Tuesday - Lasagne, Garlic Bread and Salad
Wednesday - LO Red Thai Curry
Thursday - LO Lasagne, Garlic Bread and Salad
Friday - SC Chicken Casserole and Dumplings (New)
Saturday - PC Pea and Ham Soup with HM Rolls
Sunday - Leftover Chicken Casserole and Dumplings

I'll be making 5 batches of meat sauce for the Lasagne (to go with the cheese sauce I made with milk which needed using!) lucky I need 3 batches for a meal we have planned for the godparents on the day of the Christening :)

DH is going away on Sunday morning for 4 weeks, so things are going to start getting more repetitive as meals last longer.

Hope everyone has a great week :)
We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy!

Mon - Coconut prawn curry (prawns in freezer)
Tues - HM bean burgers (in freezer)

  • My first time posting in this thread, too. It is a great idea and planning everything out like this will ensure I eat properly (sometimes I am lazy and don't do enough veg etc) and help when I go shopping. I might steal some ideas from everyone else, too!

I am counting on the fact that the quinoa pudding tastes OK, I wanted to make rice pudding, but my local Lidl doesn't have any pudding rice and I do have an unused pack of quinoa in my cupboard. Desperate times call for desperate measures!

I do a lot of sprouted seeds, so they get added to almost everything (sometimes even my porridge). Oh yes, the porridge, I am slightly embarrassed at having it every morning, but it is my favourite breakfast and look forward to it when I wake up! If I need anything snacky, I have some fruit bread and chopped up pizza squares in the freezer.

    Sat
B: Porridge with apple and sprouted linseeds
L: Cheese and alfalfa sprout sandwich, banana
D: Soup, baked beans on toast and side salad, bread and butter pudding

    Sun
B: Porridge with banana and sprouted linseeds
L: Lentil soup & wholemeal bread, apple
D: Tuna Pasta Bake and salad (tom, grated carrot and bean sprouts), quinoa pudding and fruit

    Mon
B: Porridge with berries and mixed chopped seeds
    L: LO Pasta Bake, banana
D: Stew, bread & butter pudding

    Tue
B: Porridge with banana and mixed chopped seeds
L: Tuna, tom and onion sandwich, apple
D: Bottom of fridge soup and wholemeal bread, quinoa pudding with berries

    Wed
B: Porridge with apple, cinnamon and mixed chopped seeds
    L: Soup, wholemeal bread, banana
D: Beef, vegetable and lentil curry, quinoa pudding

    Thur
B: Porridge with banana and mixed chopped seeds
L: Cheese, tomato and alfalfa sandwich, apple
D: Tuna and Pasta Bake and salad (tom, grated carrot and bean sprouts), tinned fruit

    Fri
B: Porridge with berries, and sprouted linseeds
L: Lentil Soup, wholemeal bread and tinned fruit
D: Beef, vegetable and lentil curry, wholemeal toast and honey

    Oxtail stew and dumplings

  • Possession - What's Spanish Pork Stew? And do you have a recipe? I'm always short of pork ideas, but we love pork.
