I know this is a really dumb question but we are looking to buy our first digital camera & obviously I want to get one which is compatible with our printer, an Epsom stylus RX420. I can't find anything in the printer manuals or on the web but as a technological thicko I am probably looking in the wrong place!:o Please can anyone advise me?
Thanks very much;)

As stated above, you can plug your camera into you computer, transfer the files and then print from the PC.
However, I suspect that you want to print directly from the camera to the printer, using the memory card slots built into the printer.
If you look HERE you can scroll down to the bottom, where it lists the compatible cards (copied below)
CompactFlash® (I&II), xD-Picture Card™, SmartMedia™ SD™ Memory Card, Mini SD***, MultiMediaCard™, Memory Stick® MagicGate™, Memory Stick™, Memory Stick PRO™, Memory Stick Duo™ *** Memory Stick Duo Pro™ ***, Microdrive™ (***Adapter required)
So, what you need to do is make sure whichever camera you buy uses one of these types of card for storage.
Hope this helps!
p.s. Most cameras use a CompactFlash or SD (Secure Digital) cards. Memory Sticks are generally specific to Sony digital cameras. I've got the Epson R300, and use a Ricoh Caplio R1v digital camera (uses an SD card) from HERE. Whatever camera you choose, make sure you use pricerunner/kelkoo etc to make sure you get the best possible price!!!0
