Problems with Arden Grange Dog Food

Are there any customers of Arden Grange dog food out there who have noticed a sudden drop in the quality (texture and taste) of their lamb product? I emailed the company and was told it would take five days for a reply (what?). A week later, still no reply, so I phoned them and explained the problem. The lady on the other end went on about it being something to do with the cans not being rotated correctly on the production line, and sent me four sample packs of their dry food, which of course still left me with the original problem.
Arden Grange canned food used to have a firm texture and, as far as my dog was concerned, a great taste. Now it has the consistency of meat paste and a burnt meat odour. My dog refuses to eat it, as does the pet of a friend of ours.
It may be just a poor batch, but as I usually buy the meat in batches of 48 cans, you can appreciate that I am not too eager to buy more until this issue has been resolved.
I can't speak for their other products, but any input welcome.
