East Coast Mainline Company Limited, a company registered in England (No 04659708) with a registered office at 4th Floor, One Kemble Street, London, WC2B 4AN ("East Coast"), organises this prize draw competition called “Bid For A Seat” which is not subject to any financial commitment or purchase to promote the East Coast brand ("Contest").
The Contest is open to owners of a Facebook account residing in the UK, except for employees of East Coast or its appointed handling agent Umpf, a UK legal entity, with registered address at 46 The Calls, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS2 7EY, United Kingdom (“Umpf”).
Entrants must be 18 years of age or above at the start of the Contest (born before 07/02/1996).
The Contest launches on 07/02/2014. The Contest will run on a weekly basis at the discretion of East Coast. The Contest period opens at 09:00 Friday and closes 23:59 on Sunday (“Contest Period”)
The prize consists of one (1) set of two (2) first class return train tickets, which can be used for any journey on East Coast services between East Coast calling stations.
The prize is non-transferable and there is no cash or prize alternative available. If the prize winner is unable to accept the prize or has not complied with the Terms and Conditions, the prize will be forfeit. If the winner wishes to travel with more people, additional tickets must be purchased.
The prize is subject to availability. The tickets must be claimed within six months of the competition date and preferred travel dates must be requested no later than four weeks before travel. Once the tickets have been issued, changes or replacements cannot be made. The tickets are for the named person and guest only. East Coast is not responsible if the ticket is lost or stolen.

The Contest will work as a reverse auction. In order to take part, entrants must select a journey and submit a bid. The prize will be awarded to the entrant with the lowest unique bid for a ticket across all entries, regardless of route chosen.
One entry is admitted per entrant per weekly Contest.
In the event that there is no lowest unique bid, all entrants who submitted the lowest value bid will be placed into a draw and one winner will be selected at random.
Entries must be made online in accordance with the instructions set out on the Facebook application via the East Coast Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/eastcoastuk (the “Facebook Page”).
Entrants must supply details of their full name, country of residence, age, and email address.
East Coast is not responsible for entries lost, delayed, misdirected, damaged or undelivered. Entrants waive any and all entitlement to legally pursue their election as winner(s) and the allocation of a prize.
The Facebook Page will disallow duplicate entries per day where it finds them. Entries made using methods generated by a script, macro or the use of automated devices will be void.
Winners of the Contest will be identified by Umpf on the first working day after the closing of the Contest for the previous week and contacted via the email provided on the following working day. The decision is final and cannot be challenged. Each winner’s first name will be posted to https://www.facebook.com/eastcoastuk after they have been contacted and accepted the prize.
All winners will be asked to provide proof of citizenship and age.
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. By participating, entrants release and commit to hold harmless Facebook from any and all liability associated with the Contest.
East Coast or its appointed agency will actively try to contact the winner with arrangements for the delivery of the prize for a maximum period of one (1) month following the announcement of the winner. In the event that East Coast is unable to contact the winner in this timeframe, it reserves the right to reallocate the prize.
By entering the Contest, entrants are providing information to East Coast and the managers of the Facebook Page (Umpf) and not to Facebook.
Any personal information, including the entrant's age, address and email address, will be used only in connection with this Contest and will not be transferred to any third party, except for the purpose of completion of the Contest. Any personal information held by East Coast or Umpf shall be deleted within reasonable time after completion of the Contest unless the entrant opts-in to receive East Coast’s newsletter or other marketing material via email.
Entrants agree to these Terms and Conditions of this Contest by the mere fact of taking part in it.
