Charge or not charge

Options
I have a tablet and a laptop. The laptop I always have it connected to the mains, therefore it is always fully charged. The tablet I let it exhaust itself and then charge fully. Is there any correct way to charge them, ie for max battery life?.

Seems to me you are committing two sins here :D

    1. You should not leave a laptop running off the mains all the time. It does the battery good to be used from time to time down to about 25% left before recharging.

    1. Conversely you're over doing it with the tablet. Modern batteries do not take kindly to being deep discharged as you can damage the chemical/ structural integrity. So, as in 1. let your tablet run down to about 20 - 25% left before charging, but don't let it drop to empty.

Charging little and often is much better than lots and infrequent. Topping up your device whenever convenient is a good for the health of the battery.
