Removing a pond

Hi there everybody,
I hope I have put this in the right place. Just wondering if anybody knows anything about Koi ponds? We are looking to purchase a property that has a large 6ft square pond the the garden, raised by about 3ft from the ground but I reckon it's 6ft deep. We would like to remove it as we have kids and 2 very exuberant water loving dogs to contend with! The pond has a pump house, which I presume can drain it, but we would obviously want it filled and turned back into patio area. Does anybody have any idea at all as to whether this is a big job? And if so a rough idea of how much it will cost us? Am I talking 00's or 000's here? Thanks to anyone that knows more than me!!!

Simply knock the 3ft over ground into the 3ft below and the jobs a "goodun"

OK, slightly simplistic, but, what's the issue??, you fill it in with whatever, rubbish, ruble etc.

PS I am a koi carp keeper, but I know many aren't/

PPPS you can make ponds kiddy proof, POM for details.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
