Apache OpenOffice PC/Mac hyperlink issue

I work in publishing from home and edit word documents using Apache OpenOffice on my PC. Everything is fine at my end but when the office open the documents on their Macs, my hyperlinks are no longer underlined or coloured; however, they are still there if they hover over them.
Does anybody know if this is a compatability issue or if there is something I/they can do to resolve this problem?
Many thanks.

I use NeoOffice so I'm not familiar with Open Office. However, as the hyperlinks are still there but hidden, it seems to me that it can only be a display issue so maybe there's an option in OSX OpenOffice to highlight hyperlinks.0

Sounds like an issue with their software, not yours.0

More likely to be due to the fact that Open Office/Libre Office is not as compatible with Word as people like to think especially with regards to document formatting.
I'm a huge Libre office fan but I'm under no illusions when it comes to compatibility. There have been several threads on this subject recently. One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0 -
Thank you for your replies. I was pretty confident that there was nothing I could do at my end; however, I wasn't sure if anything could be done at the other end.
I need to upgrade my OS from XP shortly and just might have to invest in MS Word, although an earlier version I had also had incompatibilites.0 -

I'm a Mac user and use Libre Office where ever I can but, sadly, most people out there use MS Office. To prevent problems I bought the Mac version of Office.
There's no doubt that MS Office is a fantastic suite of programs but they don't always come cheap. I got mine for just over £8 via the home use program but if you don't have access to this or a student discount it can be pricey. One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0
