Euston to Bethnal Green

Hi
I will be visiting London next month and I like to plan things in advance. I will be arriving and departing at Euston Main Line station and will be travelling to a hotel in Bethnal Green.
Tube Planner gives me different tube routes for the inward and outward journeys travelling to and from Euston to Bethnal Green, for example; from Euston to Bethnal Green: "take the Victoria line to Kings Cross then change to the Hammersmith and City line to Liverpool Street then change to the Central line."
Then for the return journey from Bethnal Green to Euston: "take the Central line to Bank and change to the Northern line".
The return journey seems easier as it involves only one change whereas the outward journey involves two changes.
Was wondering why there are two different routes given and whether it would be possible to travel from Euston to Bethnal Green taking the Northern line to Bank and then changing to the Central line? This would be much easier if it is possible.

As a Londoner I would take 2nd option via bank
If at the weekend it may be making allowances for engineering works though so check on the TFL web siteEx forum ambassador

Walk out of Euston main line station, turn right along Euston Road to Euston Square tube station (1 minute away). You don't HAVE to jump on the tube at your main line arrival point when there's a better tube a minute away
Circle, Hammersmith & City or Metropolitan lines all go from there to Liverpool Street, change to Central Line to Bethnal. Same route to return
I think the quietest route, avoiding the busy tube stations, would be to walk out of Euston to King's Cross tube (2 minutes), take Piccadilly Line south to Holborn, change to Central Line to Bethnal.
Some of the online routes are pure madness, such as this one - http://www.londondrum.com/transport/train-journey.php?from=euston&to=bethnal-green - which suggests you take a tube from Euston to King's Cross - you can walk it in under 2 minutes.
There's bus connections, but they all seem to involve one change at Stepney or Shoreditch0 -
Thanks for the info guys. I will be arriving on a Sunday so will need to think about how possible engineering works might affect the journey.
Thanks for the detailed information googler. I was getting confused with "Euston" and "Euston Square" and wondering how they all fitted in with the tube journey. I cannot go wrong now. Many thanks to you and Browntoa.0 -

You're welcome. Always, always look at a street map with the tube station locations on it before jumping on the tube.0 -
As an alternative you could take a taxi. Better still check out Uber. It is a new cab company.
There is currently an offer on that gets you £10 free travel with uber.
If you are travelling with someone else they can also signup so your return journey would also be nearly free. I just checked on the app and the cost estimate is £11-£14 for an UberX.
£4 to drop you at the door of your hotel sounds like a good option to me.

Bizzare phrase have you been to King's Cross or Holborn tube stations! I'd ever say they weren't busy!!0
