I've had an objective look, this price only covers your boiler, not your pipes or radiators, you're not covered for the first 28 days (so effectively only 11 months cover), there's a £95 excess per claim, and...i've not heard good things about the company to be honest.

Maintenance company Homeserve is being warned it faces a fine of £34.5m from the City regulator owing to historical sales problems

plus 11 months boiler cover. I know that they've been done by the FSA but wont that mean that they put their house in order - in any event £45 for the year is low risk, given that I wouldnt take out such cover if it werent for the free boiler service anyway.

Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..
  • I believe the £45 cover doesn't include a free service
If you sign up through quidco they're currently offering £15 cash back

It'll be ok, it's just discounted hoping you will forget you have it when it auto renews at a much higher cost after the 12 months.

Having had the need to call Homeserve out three times this year for two different problems my advice is, don't touch them with a bargepole. My latest experience was a wait of 42 hours when my boiler broke down for the second time in three days (the first time I waited 22 hours and on the very first call I was left for twelve hours with a blocked toilet - the only one in the house. Find a better service provider. I'm going to.
