Where's the best place to get a cab from Gatwick to North London?

the company that runs the franchise at gatwick airport are extortionate. they guard their franchise like hawks . best bet is to phone one of the local companies in the crawley area, they will be cheaper than anyone, they will park in the carpark and meet you at the barrier as you clear customs.

I told them that in the PM, a few minutes after they posted. Didn't respond, not even a thanks & I gave them the name of the cheapest local firm.

I too dislike people who do that !!

It is ignorant & ill-mannered to ask for help and then not bother to acknowledge thanks once a reply has been given, & it only takes a second or two to press the "Thanks" button.

After a while, I tend to start giving such people's requests the contempt they deserve by ignoring their future requests.

Never mind, though ... I thank you on their behalf ! :beer:
