Mortgage post IVA

Hi there! I was wondering if anyone knows who offers mortgages to people post iva?

I started an IVA in feb 2009 and had it satisfied in June 2010. My credit is now all looking good and have a credit score of 993. Just want to get on the property ladder and try and forget about this IVA! :(

Looking to get a mortgage of 210,000 with a 20% deposit.

Can anyone advise or let me know of similar circumstances?

Thanks in advance!

  • Your best bet will be to approach a whole of market mortgage broker. Let them know about the IVA, as some mortgage companies ask about prior insolvency, some don't etc. A decent broker will be able to sort something out for you.

Personally and regardless of my IVA, I have always used one, and have always bettered any decision in principle offered on the high street.

    Good luck.
