Use car issues
My wife came home tonight with some rather strange noises from the engine of our new car. We bought th used car from a well known garage in the northwest. It was exactly 4 years old in January, so just outside manufactures warranty.
When buying the car we opted not to take the extended warranty as I did not feel it was worth it. We were told at the time that the car only had 30 days warranty from date of purchase. We haven't contacted the garage in question yet but I am just wondering where do we stand in terms getting the garage to have a look at the car. Also I don't know if this makes any difference but I did purchase the car using a credit card.

Bought the car almost 2 months ago to the day. There is a rumbling noise from the engine but no lights on the engine management system (dashboard).0

There may be something you can, even without a warranty but it depends on some things.
What is the year & mileage of the car?
What year is it?
What car is it and how much paid?
Depending on the above, you might have some recourse with the selling garage via the Sales of Goods act.
Also with the noises you hear, is it a diesel or petrol and have you checked the engine oil?All your base are belong to us.0 -
The car is a 59 plate registered January 2010.
