Is there such a thing as a television that you can plug your USB Mass Storage pen into? Then, presumably you could watch something that you had stored on the pen, such as a film, music video etc?
I am looking at getting a new television, and was just wondering if this is what technology can do these days or not?!
Obviously, I know that the computer is the obvious answer to this, but it would be nice to be able to go with the tv option if its available!
Thanks in advance.

Thanks guys.
I suppose the thing to do is upgrade my PC to wireless at some point, and then I can wheel the whole shebang into the living room if I want to watch a film on it etc.....

You can get DVD players that have USB ports... Have a google to see what's aroundThat's Numberwang!0

But, would these DVD players play a movie on a pen then? i.e. would they have real player, or VLC player or equivalents on them? If so, that's the answer!Thanks.Duncan0

Be careful. If the port on the TV is designed to take usb drives, etc, then it will provide 5 volts. So does the usb port on a laptop. You need a special lead to connect them, otherwise you will damage one/both of the devices!
This is why printers, etc, use what is called an A to B lead, to stop them being used to connect similar devices together.0 -
Thanks. We'll make sure we read the instructions. You've probably saved a lot of heartbreak!0
