Scottish Power -End of my teather
Hello
I switched energy suppliers from SP to EDF when the providers increased their rates in December using the MSE energy club.
The transfer of Electric went through with out any problems.
I supplied SP with my meter readings and thought that would be that.
I am currently showing as £250 in credit with SP and am in need of these funds.
However they will not produce a final bill. I was told that this was because my account had been closed.
Numerous Phone calls later I am getting nowhere. I have logged a complaint 2 weeks ago and was promised a call back, this (as far as I know) never happened.
I have contacted them again today to ask for an update to my complaint, to which I was told that they “rang me back and as we did not answer they closed the complaint”!!
Can they do this, don’t they at least need to write to confirm?
When I asked what the outcome was I was told that there wasn’t one.
They are STILL supplying my gas!!
They are not switching this over!!!
Everytime I call them I feel I am told a pack of lies just to get me off the Phone.
To make matters worse, I am also in credit by £300+ with EDF as im paying them the agreed amount but they are not even providing my Gas.
I’m at the end of my teather.
What advice can you offer me please?
Thanks
Ste

You are not alone, I am struggling with a switch to SP and that's been a disaster, I am currently paying 2 suppliers as they both claim they supply my electricity, SP promises are routinely broken they are terrible.
Martin can you help us with a SP contact as the online form and their phone systems do not help.0 -
Anyone got any advice that can help us please?0

For some reason that's never been explained a Gas switch takes longer than that for the Elec, but Dec to Feb is well outside the box.
Do a check on who is the supplier of your gas on the National Data Base by phoning 0870 608 1524 - If it is SP phone EDF and have them immediately reduce your D/Debit to them by the amount they are takeing for gas0
