The lights in your house...MASSIVE savings!

Ok, just thought id get this out there for those who arn't already aware of the savings you get from LED lights!

Switch the bulbs in your house to LED Bulbs! I cant possibly make it any more clearer than that. The savings on your electricity bills are massive. A typical 100w Bulb in your house can be swapped for a 12w LED bulb and be brighter.

I work in an Electrical wholesalers and we regularly get people in here saying how far £10 in the electric meter is getting them! The biggest electricity killer in your house is the lights. Sort the lights, save money.

Just a friendly tip :) :A:T

No its not is anything that heats your home (if electric) cooking, and heating water (if electric)

You also dont save much going from low energy bulbs to led's granted you may do from incandescent bulbs or halogens but they may take many years to recoup any savings

Yes I know, I work in a wholesalers but Im a qualified electrician ;)
Granted that anything hot rapes the electric, but you could argue that lights are on far more than showers/cookers/irons etc.

If i fit LED GU10s,will i get the same intensity band quality of light? currently have 35w GU10s in having stepped down from 50w.. Rated life of many led GU10s seems to be around 30,000hrs which seems good.
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

LED GU10's are very cheap to run. A yep down from 50w to 35w isn't the worlds greatest jump but it's still a saving and the lumen output is probably lower. But still, LED's are incredibly bright, especially 'Cool White' which I use in my kitchen. Really makes the place look like a lot different.

If you consider the price of LED bulbs, it will take a very long time to save anything. If you're on a pension you may not have time to get your money back.

Perhaps because the OP misunderstood the forum title? This would make one wonder what other misconceptions they hold.

However, if one examines the OP's other posts, there is some indication that they might be interested in using this and other forums to link back to a web site they're involved with.

My own view is that anyone who needs to use shouty capitals in a thread title deserves to be treated with suspicion.

    Softly, softly....;)
