Barclays "can't find me" - next steps

Hi
Many years ago I had a Barclaycard, and at one time had a loan from them as well.
Both long cleared and indeed I haven't had the card for several years either.
I have no idea if I had PPI on them or not.
I wrote to them to try and get my details to find out if maybe I had a claim at all, and they replied saying they had no record of me.
What can I do next?
Thanks

You can send them a Subject Access Request (SAR) letter which will cost £10. Excellent template here;I wrote to them to try and get my details to find out if maybe I had a claim at all, and they replied saying they had no record of me.

However, if your SAR returns no relevant information and you have no such documentation in your own archive, then any complaint you might make is over before it starts.0 -
Thanks - will try that.0

Just got to doing this letter. One problem - I have no idea what the account numbers were - also this was more than 6 years ago...
Can I still use this template?0 -
They've already replied to say they have no record of you, so if you have no extra detail at all to give them other than your name, birthdate and address (at the time) then it would seem your SAR is doomed to fail too.Just got to doing this letter. You won't know for sure unless you send it, however.0
