Electricity Bills
I know in theory that electricity bills are normally issued every quarter, or 6 monthly with some suppliers.
What I am trying to find and can't is, how often is an energy supplier required to send a bill to a customer?
I am specifically talking N Power and cannot find the answer on their website or in their T&C's (unless I have missed it). I have also tried OFGEM and ENERGY UK but can't find anything on either.
So if anyone can tell me, I would be grateful.
Please though only advise if you know for definate and if possible can point me in the direction of some official documentation as it is very important I have this info 100% accurate.
thanks in advance:D

The Electricity Act and OFGEMs Standard Licence Conditions should be the places to look but I do not believe they mention any billing period, only that meters should be read every 2 years and that billing should be accurate.
Not having a bill can be in your interest. Read the meter regularly, calculate the bill and put the money away and keep contacting them with meter readings and asking for a bill. When they try to bill for more that 12 months use you tell them to go take a hike and you will only pay for a maximum of 12 months based on your accurate readings in accordance with the Back Billing Code http://www.energy-uk.org.uk/publication/finish/43/412.html0
