HSBC PPI claims

Following advice from the website I rang HSBC to get the account number for a loan I took out in 2002 which I was pretty sure I had PPI on but having paid it off in about 2005/6 no longer had any of the paperwork. I received today from the bank my policy numbers. Notice the plural! I never knew I had Mastercard payment protection or a second personal loan protection. I took a loan out in the January of 2002 of which there is an account number and then there is a second personal loan protection for the 16 November 2002. I did not take a second loan out so am confused about what this is.

Do I need to get the T&C from the time of my loan on the PPI in order to better complete the questionnaire and is it possible to get copies of the original signed application form.

Many thanks for any help / ways to proceed.

    No, and the Agreement won't be available for a closed account anyway.

    You can send them a Subject Access Request (SAR) letter which will cost £10. Excellent template here;

    However, if your SAR returns no relevant information and you have no such documentation in your own archive, then there are no copies available anymore.

    You don't need all this, what you need are valid and (preferably) verifiable mis-selling complaint reasons.
