I used this format for my section and the judge said because it was all laid out so well and al in a chronological manner it left him without question that BR was by far the most suitable option for me. I did also put in about my health condition but only two sentences to support my loss of job etc.
Thanks for keeping this on the boards here it was great to have a format to work to0 -

Hi l went bankrupt in 2011. Discharged 2012 after 6 months.
When l filled my forms in l took a week off work, laid them out on the ironing board and then found absolutely all my financial information. Over the week l devoted at least one hour a day putting all the information onto the forms. (Not the most fun week of my life)
When l went to court the clerk said they were the most detailed forms she had seen in 25 years.
The judge granted my bankruptcy without me even going inside the courtroom which saved me some stress.
I think the form completion is worth spending time on.
I also had a letter from the C.A.B. recommending bankruptcy to me and l had been using the CCCS ( now Step change). The clerk told me that the judge needs to see that you have taken professional advice.
I hadn't realised that l would need to book a court date quite a bit in advance. I thought l'd be able to get in within this week.
I was back at work when it all kicked off. I had to tell my boss so l could have time off to attend court and the OR office. The worst time for me was when my bank account was closed after the bankruptcy. Until you can get a new account that is stressful.
Honesty is definitely the best policy though. The more transparent you are the less chance of getting into trouble as bankruptcy law is quite complicated.0 -
