Phone calls which just say "goodbye".

I've had a few of these junk calls recently, where you answer and it just says "goodbye".

What are they about?

Call centres with predictive diallers. The software "predicts" that operatives will become free soon, so dials numbers in anticipation. You then answer the call but if no one is actually available at their end it will hang up the call.

I don't know why you say goodbye I say hello, you say yes, I say no,you say why and I say I don't know, why you say goodbye and I say hello. Clear as mud!
