Changing name and credit file

Hi

My apologies if this has been answered elsewhere - i couldnt find anything.

I have recently married and changed my name (December). I am wondering how this affects my credit file?

Does it automatically filter through and my maiden name will just dissapear? Is a new one in my married name created?

I have changed my name with the bank, credit cards, mobile phone company, utilities and the electoral register.

I am hoping to apply for a mortgage in the next few months so was wondering if i need to do anything to my credit file beforehand?

Thanks

Just check your files a month or so before your thinking of applying. And dont get the silly useless credit score. No lender uses that score.

Just get the £2 statutory report.

    Make sure everything is correct.
