Switch Credit Card Debt

We have 3 credit cards but one is very high and we are paying a lot of interest. We have tried transferring to a 0% interest but it is saying we cannot do this. Please can you tell me why, we have never defaulted on any payments and always paid more than the minimum amount. It would help us so much if we could transfer the largest one.

Do you mean you were hoping to transfer the balance to one of your other existing credit cards?
Or that you have applied for a new credit card (or several new cards) and been turned down?

Could you perhaps be trying to transfer to the same provider? You can't transfer from mbna to mbna for example.
