Full Time To Part Time,Would I Be Eligible For Working Tax Credit And Housing Benefi

Hi my friend currently works 40hrs per week, earns £224 per week after tax.
He also gets working tax credit, aged over 25 and single,no kids.
Recently he was advised by his employer he may have to work part time 16 hrs per week as there is not enough work.
Would he be entitled to more working tax credit?Would he also be eligible for housing and council tax benefit if he was made part time?

He would have to be doing over 30 hours per week in order to get Working Tax Credits.
It is likely that he would be entitled to Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction if he worked part time doing 16 hours.
Is he private rented or local authority/social landlord?
How many bedrooms does that property have?0 -
His 1 bedroom property belongs to the housing association.0

Any idea of what percentage of housing benefit & Council tax benefit he would get?0

He can earn up to £76.70p/w and receive full Housing benefit and Council tax Reduction.
85% of excess income above £76.70p/w this will be taken from his Housing Benefit (65%) and Council tax Reduction entitlement (20%)0 -
Interesting thanks for the information.0
