Citroen Relay van gearbox removal

Got a 54 plate relay that we are trying to remove the gearbox from, all ancillaries removed, bell housing bolts out but the box will only come about an inch from the engine, any ideas.

there should be a pin on the clutch fork, take this out and the clutch fork will be able to turn,it's a pull me clutch not a push me one

Cheers, we sussed it was a pull me clutch and a google search mentioned the thrust bearing fork but the only reference I have found tells me I need to use a slide hammer to remove it, can you provide any links to pics of the pin I need to remove and does it unscrew or knock out?

most of the time it's tapered at the end,if you can get a good lever in it should move it enough so you can then pull it out with pliers.pull the box back and it will spin the fork rod enough to get the box off.when refitting make sure the fork rod is pointing far away from the front of the gearbox to engage the thrust bearing
