Halifax PPI shock

I am pretty good with money and have never taken out ppi,as I didn't see the point of it,you have to wait 30days and then it only payed out for 12 months.
Anyway,I decided to contact my loan providers and credit card providers (always 0% the move) on the of chance.
To my surprise halifax have said I had it on 2 credit cards and 1 mortgage,never remembered this !must have been at least 15yrs ago.
Do I stand any chance of a refund.
I have started a claim but had to leave a lot of the form blank as it was that long ago...

Can I get my old statements ? As cannt remember seeing it,
What else would strengthen my case as as not knowing it was even on !
Think I might have had to take it out to get my first mortgage ?0 -

With regard to your credit cards you may have opted for PPI when you applied for the card but this is only payable on outstanding monthly balances. If you always paid in full each month no PPI would have been paid.0
