Hi
I clicked on the Equifax link on moneysavingexpert website to requeste an Equifax credit report, (the address below)
They could not verify my personal info over internet so i had to phone them using the number on their website.
They have asked me to have passport/driving licence and utility bill info ready to send to them over the internet in the next couple of days.
Obviously i am a little worried about sending those details to anyone
Can someone tell me if i'm being sensible sending this info
Thanks
Mark
p.s
I posted the link i used but because i am a new user i was not allowed to post it.

When I couldn't remember my log in details or secret passwords I had to send off my passport etc.
It's annoying but perfectly safe.0 -
Please wait for someone with more posting experience to let you know what it is wisest to do. Sorry MQ77 !!0

No problem with them requesting this information. They have a legitimate need to ensure that they only provide your credit report to you, not someone pretending to be you. Equifax, Experian and Call Credit are all legitimate businesses that may have a legitimate need for this information.0
