Will I be entitled to ESA Contributory?

Hi there,
My partners earns over the cut off threshold for me to recieve income based ESA, however, I have only been in receipt of carers allowance as an income for myself the past couple of years due to a family member being disabled. I have heard that carers allowance pays class 1 national insurance contributions for you. Does this mean that I may be entitled to contributory based ESA instead?
Would be grateful if anyone had any knowledge about this?

I dont believe CA gives you NI for contributions based benefits, just pension I think.0 -
you would have to have earned enough working NI contribution in the last 2 tax term years IIRC.0

Carers allowance only pays towards your pension. You need to be in employment to have paid the relevant NI.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
